Wait will be over to get your hands on iPhone 7 in India. Apple Inc has partnered with e-commerce giant Flipkart to sell it’s latest edition of iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus.
As announced previously, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will go on sale in the country from October 7. This would be the first time apple has partnered with an e-commerce company to sell their latest devices.
“Flipkart will offer iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, beginning on October 7, and Customers can pre-order the phones from Thursday, September 29 at 23:59 hours from the company’s website” Flipkart said in a statement.
The iPhone 7 will start at Rs. 60,000 for the 32GB variant and the iPhone 7 Plus will start at Rs. 72,000 for the same 32GB storage.
Where as 128GB and 256GB variants of the iPhone 7 will be priced at Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 80,000 respectively and for the iPhone 7 plus 128GB and 256GB will priced at Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000 repectively.
iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch display with 3D touch, while iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch Retina HD display with 3D touch. Both the smartphones are powered by a new quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor, which it claims is 40 per cent faster than the previous generation.
Apple inc is betting big on the Indian market. In July, Apple CEO Tim Cook had said that India is one of its fastest growing markets.
The company has also announced setting up of a design and development accelerator to support Indian developers creating innovative applications for iOS and has opened a new office in Hyderabad to accelerate maps development.
