Before the IPL 10 auction began at Bangalore, any one could have thought that Irfan Pathan, would be on the top of the list that franchises would fight for. But, surprising everyone – no team showed interest in buying senior Pathan, as his all round skills are far more better for T20 formats.
Irfan Pathan, who was with base price of Rs 50 lakhs and he was overlooked at the IPL 10 auction in Bangalore.
After snubbed in the IPL auction, Irfan took to his social networking site, twitter and wrote a message for his fans and supporters, who are still supporting him.
Irfan Pathan, missed last year IPL most matches due to frequent injuries. May be that felt the franchises in not buying him. But, the cricketer who played Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament, had a decent performance with both bat and ball.
“In 2010, I had undergone 5 fractures in my back. The physio had told to me that I might now be able to play cricket ever again and should rather give up on my dream. At that point of time I told him, I can bear any pain but cannot the bear the pain of not playing this beautiful game for my country,” wrote Irfan Pathan.
“I have faced many obstacles in my career and life but never gave up, that’s the character I have and will possess,” added Irfan.
