In an yet another incident, flight crew has faced the heat of politicians. This time it’s Air India crews turn. Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad, who was travelling from Pun-Delhi through Air India has slapped the flight staff member with slippers 25 times.
“Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad hit an Air India staff member with his slipper over seating issues: Air India Spokesperson,” tweeted ANI news.
“We have constituted a team to probe the whole incident,” Air India spokesperson said, adding, “It has been learned that the scuffle broke out over the seating issue.”

“Yes,I had hit the staff. Do you expect me to hear their abuses quietly?” Gaikwad said.,” quoted ANI as Gaikwad.
“Incident was reported from Air India flight AI 852 (Pune-Delhi), in which MP Ravindra Gaikwad was travelling. The flight landed around 10 am but the MP refused to deboard. When the airline security staff was called and he got angry and started beating them with slippers,” said an airport source.
An Air India official said that MP was booked in business class but the airline changed the flight to an all-economy aircraft. MP’s personal secretary in Delhi was informed about the change of aircraft and offered that he could cancel the booking. But MP reached Pune airport and boarded the plane.
