Kathi Sundai Director Suraj Apologises To Tamannaah Bhatia And All The Heroines

Speaking to a independent you tube channel, Suraj said he always prefers heroines to showcase their body as B & C centres audience will pay money only to watch them

Kathi Sandai director Suraj, who irked south actresses with his sexist comments over skin show of heroines in movies had soon come back to his senses and apologies to Tamannaah Bhatia and all other actresses.

“I am really sorry and would like to apologises to Ms Tamannah and all the heroines in the industry. My intention was not to show anyone in bad light or hurt their sentiments. I am sorry once again and take back my comments,” said director Suraj.

In a recent interview to an independent YouTube channel, director Suraj went on the record saying that heroines should act in glamorous roles as they receive ‘remuneration’ for that.

“If the costume designer comes to me with the heroine’s clothes covering up to the knee, I would strictly order them to shorten the length. I don’t mind even if my heroine is not happy or comfortable, but I insist and get it done. This is because audiences pay money to see the heroines in such clothes,” said director Suraj.

Tamannaah, who was watching Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ which highlights the need for woman empowerment, had to leave the film midway after knowing about Suraj’s comments to settle the issue.

The actress was supported by Nayanatara, Vishal, Kathi Sandai her co-star, who also happens to be General Secretary of the South Indian Artistes’ Association.

“How can a responsible person from film industry make such a crass and cheap comment? Who is Suraj to say such a derogative statement against heroines? Does he think that heroines are strippers who will come and shed their clothes just because they are paid money? Will he dare to speak such things about working women in his family?,” said angry Nayanathara.

Vishal too took to his twitter and said actresses are to showcase their talent and not their body, and glad that director suraj has apologised.
